About Bela Beauty College
At the heart of Bela Beauty College’s philosophy is the belief that education should be flexible, affordable, and most importantly, lead to real career opportunities. To support this, we offer two years of course access, enabling students to learn at their own pace, alongside ongoing support from industry experts. Tutors are seasoned professionals who have not only excelled in their respective beauty fields but have also successfully run their own businesses. They are available to provide personalised mentorship through email, phone, and video training sessions, ensuring that every student has the guidance needed to succeed.
The curriculum spans crucial areas of the beauty industry, including but not limited to makeup artistry, skincare, lash and brow services, nail technology, and salon business management. Each course is meticulously structured with step-by-step
video tutorials, in-depth theoretical knowledge, practical assessments, and interactive learning tools to ensure a well-rounded and immersive educational experience.
Beyond technical skills, Bela Beauty College emphasises the importance of business acumen when building a successful career in the beauty industry. I founded Bela Beauty College to empower individuals to transform their lives. Whether you’re seeking a new career in the beauty industry, aiming to start your own business from home, or looking to expand your existing salon, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.
How I started my beauty business
In 2008, I began my journey as a hairdresser, but working for an uninspired boss who wasn’t making any money just wasn’t cutting it. Craving something more exciting, I enrolled in an eyelash extension course and decided to launch my own business right from my bedroom. I dove into business courses, devoured podcasts, and read everything I could about lashes, branding, social media, and online marketing. With passion and determination, I set up my small lash business at home, and it quickly turned into a thriving success!
Finding my tribe
I continued to nurture and build my business, now having turned the home garage into a fully renovated eyelash salon . I connected with a marketing professional and web developer and business started booming.
I needed staff (eeek!) to expand my business and I needed to ensure they were well trained to keep my loyal customers happy.
Finding my calling
I put together a “Lash Bible” that contained everything I had learnt from experience, different trainers and various platforms.
I started training girls to work in my salon and loved watching them grow and gain confidence in their new careers. I refined and perfected my training content and all my techniques. I was ready to launch my training to the public to help more and more people to change their lives.
Launching my training courses
For the first time, I saw an eyelash extension course offered online. What a fantastic idea! The one-day course I took at the start of my journey had fallen short in delivering the extensive knowledge I had gained over the years. I realised that an online platform could provide comprehensive and accessible training to a wider audience. Excited by this possibility, I began developing my training content into an online learning platform and started enrolling students eager to become successful lash artists. As our courses expanded into other areas of beauty, Bela Beauty College was born!
