Eyebrow Tint vs Eyebrow Henna: What is the Difference?

Your alarm goes off, you get up and start getting yourself ready for the day. In the past, this may have involved filling in your eyebrows with a pencil, gel or another kind of brow filler, which, let’s face it, takes time and precision to get right. But what if there was another way?

Imagine waking up and knowing that your brows look good? No time-consuming filling in is needed with semi-permanent solutions.

Both eyebrow tint and henna can make you brow-ready, so what is the difference between them?

Using semi-permanent dye for your eyebrows

Many of us know that eyebrows are essential when it comes to framing your face. Well-groomed eyebrows can make your eyes look bigger, give you a more refined look and make it look like you have spent time on your appearance, even if you haven’t. Shh! We won’t tell anyone what your secret is.

Both methods of eyebrow tint and henna use semi-permanent dye to transform your brows. They pick up your lighter coloured brow hairs, and it gives you the appearance of fuller brows, which is on-trend right now.

Yet, there are subtle differences between the two methods.

Eyebrow tinting

Eyebrow tinting is quick to do, usually only taking about 15-20 minutes out of your day. A beautician will apply the dye to the brows, leave it to develop and then clean the brow area. You will start to see results quickly.

While the dye will make the brows darker at first, after a couple of washes, they will have beautiful, natural-looking brows.

A beautician will choose the colour that suits the client’s skin tone, and as there are many to choose from, it is a great option for all brows. What’s more, as the dye has non-active ingredients, it is safe to use.

Henna eyebrows

Do you remember when overplucking your eyebrows was trendy? Fortunately, those days are over, and we now tend to prefer fuller-looking brows. However, if you have been left with scant-looking brows, henna could be the solution.

Rather than dying the brow hairs, henna colours the skin underneath your brows, which gives the appearance of darker and fuller brows. If you have blonde eyebrows, or you do not have a lot of brow hair, this could be the best option for you.

Henna gives you a long-lasting result, and it can last up to six weeks. Over time, it will gradually fade to a softer look.

Beautiful brows, whichever method you use

Both methods are there to provide you and your clients with beautiful brows.
